A big house in the dessert
Alone with the sun, the wind, the sky
beside the pool eating dessert
Three white birds busy to fly
to freedom for peace and rest.
Always in the air to nowhere
one slaked off to make a nest.
Maybe forever, but where?
Now on the blanket beside the pool
you can see the water brown
sun setting west and wind getting cool.
Slaked off bird’s a clown
the other two’s still carrying on.
No life, yet living with anyone.
Two birds still together yet different.
One bowler, one dreamer.
One wants to pay no rent
the other wants to bath in cream.
Unattended pool to dark.
Tomorrow will come for the three
to reunite at the specified mark,
but now they had depart – this three.
